As a photographer, Jop has found his focus at the coast. What he is most looking for is to combine surfing and the sea as a subject with landscape photography. Often cast in an attractive and colorful scene. It is striking, but also admirable that almost all of his work from recent years has been created around the small stretch of beach in Scheveningen.

"Early morning stroll on a misty morning with the sun still low. This little street is just around the corner from where I live in The Hague. For a couple times I saw this place being lit up at the break of dawn, even the old school lamp posts seem to get some colour from the rising sun. A 'frame within a frame' and one of my favourite shots from the past years."
