As a photographer, Jop has found his focus at the coast. What he is most looking for is to combine surfing and the sea as a subject with landscape photography. Often cast in an attractive and colorful scene. It is striking, but also admirable that almost all of his work from recent years has been created around the small stretch of beach in Scheveningen.

"Winter has begun. I took this photograph in November 2021. A grey weekend with rain, hail and even some snow. With waves coming in all the way from Norway and a gentle offshore breeze. After this day I was convinced about one thing...I need a proper rain jacket."
